Noche Caifan

Caifanes is a Spanish rock band that began in 1987 then broke up in 1995, but, more than 15 years later, decided to reunite in 2011.Diego Herrera was among the original Caifanes members, being part of the band from 1987 to 1993, when the musician/producer decided to work on his own projects.Alfonso André, along with Saúl Hernández and Alejandro Marcovich (two other Caifanes members), started his career in Las Insólitas Imágenes de Aurora. After Caifanes split-up, Saúl Hernández went on with Alfonso André to continue his career in a new band they named Jaguares, name which came about from a dream he had in which he was singing in a jaguar’s mouth.Sabo Romo, one of the best bass players Mexico has seen, states,“ It’s eight to 15 years-olds, 18 to 20 years-olds, that did not get to live the 80s or 90s effervescence of Caifanes and many other bands, but yet, they are at the concerts.”Argentinian guitarist, Alejandro Marcovich, had been blamed for Caifanes' break-up in 1995 because it was said he claimed ownership of the name, although he says it was Sony-BMG who wanted the rights to the name.

Take a look at the crappy photos I took from the Caifanes concert last year!
